Never order the dessert

Went out with a guy last night. We split nachos. I had ice tea, he had a drink.
After the nachos which he ate most of I asked if he wanted to split a dessert. He said yes, and I should pick one. I picked one and we ate it. (again he ate most of it. That’s not a problem it just needs to be noted) As he dropped me off he mentioned that I ordered dessert 3 times. The last time he said you ordered dessert and didn’t even eat much, I had to finish it.

Not that it matters but he makes six figure.

Therapist for the rich

I once worked for a multi millionaire who always talked about feeling guilty about his money. He inherited his money from his dad. He spent wildly! He bought his in laws an exact replica of his mansion and all the furnishings. He did this so his kids would never be “homesick”. Every toy and possession his children had at his house he had a duplicate at his in laws. He didn’t ever want his kids to miss a toy or possession while at their grandparents so the duplicate of every item helped insure that they would “never be sad”

So my rich boss was constantly either spending money wildly or feeling guilty. There was no middle ground. One day he called me excited that he found a way to deal with his guilt. He found a therapist that only took patients who were multi millionaires and the therapist would help him feel less guilt. He explained to me that his new therapist could only help rich people and their problems.
He saw the therapist five days a week and then would binge spend.
I was much younger then and frequently wished I had his problems.

Invitation for lunch

I’ve had some ups and downs financially. Really high, highs and really low, lows!
During one of those downs I took my kids to Taco Bell for a “treat”. I could barely afford a few 99 cent tacos. A friend joined us for lunch. She talked about a great new place for lunch and invited me to try it one day. They had the best appetizer and it was only 125 dollars. (125 dollars! Lol) I swallowed my bite of bean burrito and reminded her that we were in Taco Bell, because I have no money. She looked confused and said I know that’s why I invited you for lunch.
I laughed! She looked even more confused.
