I don’t know

There have been things that I wanted more than anything and after I got them they caused my life to implode. Now I’m more than confused. How do I know what paths to take. If my past choices are any indication of my future I’m in trouble.

  1. Be careful of what you wish for, as you just might get it. Oftentimes, the journey or quest matters more than the end goal.

In the documentary “I AM” the famous, successful director said the saddest day of his life was when he closed on his huge dream home and the doors closed leaving him not content. That is when he realized life was more than material possessions.

Learn from your decisions and move on to something else. Each of us have had let downs with things. Maybe they just don’t meet our expectations. Best wishes on your next quest.

    1. Btw not all the decisions were material. Some were about people. One was about stepping back from finacial gain to care for someone and of course there is a mistake regarding a man (that is expected, i guess)

      1. The people ones are hard to take. My wife invested time in someone who is shall we say “high maintenance” and this person literally sapped the life out of my wife. She had to distance herself, but it bothered my wife to have to do that.

It sounds like your caring for someone may have been similar. As for the man mistake, being a man, we are all fixer uppers, some more so than others. Best wishes on finding one that will yin to your yang better.
