I remember before I had children I was so sure how I would raise them. I would feed them healthy food. No sugar. All natural. I remember watching a woman at a juice place giving her children carrot juice and I was sure I’d be just like her. I thought of this today as I was buying my son and daughter slurpies at the 7-11.
lol! A treat once in a while is not going to hurt, right? I, too, had wonderful plans for my kids. Some happened, some did not. *shrug* life goes on.

Hahahah And, then we actually had kids…
Have to admit when I encounter soon to be parents who have all their plans laid out, it never fails to make me inwardly laugh and think “Yeah right, suckers. Good luck with that.”

So true. It feels like we live at Circle K sometimes. I have pics of my 15 month old holding daddy’s 52 oz cup drinking lemonade.

I wasn’t allowed soft drink or bags of chips when I was a kid, and to this day, I still don’t drink soft drink. Chips on the other hand.. Haha well I give myself a handful most days – albeit the days when I’m working hard and sweating a lot. I could just have a bit of salt in my dinner to get sodium back but chips are nicer π
So I guess sometimes teaching healthy eating habits is successful, and sometimes it’s not π
I’ve kind of trialed it a bit with my dogs though and one that has human food when she was younger bugs me when I’m eating, but my other dog who hasn’t really had human food before, loves his dog food and doesn’t bug me when I’m eating. I guess if they never experience naughty food (pretty hard with kids thanks to bday parties), they don’t really miss it.

Everytime I come back to Canada for a visit, whoever in my family picks me up at the airport brings me a 7-11 slurpee. I sure do miss them.
